Neon
Serverless Postgres backend for apps and agents with instant database branching
About Neon
Neon is a serverless Postgres platform (Lakebase Postgres) that separates storage and compute to enable autoscaling of CPU, memory, and storage to match workloads. It offers git-like instant database branching for isolated, copy-on-write copies used in development and testing, plus managed authentication, object storage, functions, and an AI Gateway. Neon was founded by Postgres committers and became part of the Databricks Platform in May 2025.
