Voyager

Voyager is the first LLM-powered embodied lifelong learning agent in Minecraft that continuously explores the world, acquires diverse skills, and makes new discoveries without human intervention. It combines an automatic curriculum that maximizes exploration, an ever-growing skill library of executable code for storing and retrieving complex behaviors, and an iterative prompting mechanism that incorporates environment feedback, execution errors, and self-verification. Voyager interacts with GPT-4 via blackbox queries, avoiding any model fine-tuning, and outperforms prior methods on unique items collected, distance traveled, and tech tree milestones.
