How to Use Make

Automate anything without code

Make (formerly Integromat) is a visual automation platform where modules connected on a canvas represent data flowing between apps, giving you more branching power than a simple linear workflow builder.

Step 1: Build a scenario

Make's canvas is visual, showing modules connected by lines that represent the flow of data, rather than a strictly linear step list.

Step 2: Choose a trigger module

Pick the app and event that starts the scenario — a new row, an incoming webhook, or a scheduled interval.

Step 3: Add and connect action modules

Drag additional modules onto the canvas and connect them to the trigger. Make supports branching, so one trigger can fan out into multiple parallel paths rather than a single straight line.

Step 4: Use the built-in data transformation tools

Native functions handle things like parsing JSON, formatting dates, or looping over arrays directly on the canvas, without needing a separate code step for common transformations.

Step 5: Test and schedule

Run the scenario manually to check each module's output bubble, then turn on scheduling so it runs automatically on your chosen interval.

Where it bites

Pricing is based on operations, meaning each module execution counts, not just each scenario run. A scenario with several modules and loops can consume far more of your monthly quota per run than a simple two-step workflow would on a comparable platform.
