Why do people look for a Hugging Face alternative?

Reinforcement learning model coverage lags supervised/NLP (hundreds of RL models vs hundreds of thousands for NLP). Best for transformer-based architectures; classical ML algorithms (random forests, SVMs) feel like afterthoughts. Beginners can feel overwhelmed by extensive documentation and advanced features; learning curve to configure and optimize. To be fair to Hugging Face: no service fees on inference providers unified api; unlimited public models, datasets and applications hosting. If that's what matters most to you, it may still be the right call.
